Welcome to The Windsor Station Restaurant

This historic building has been host to such notables as Teddy Roosevelt and Calvin Coolidge and more recently to modern day celebrities including Chevy Chase and Christopher Reeve.

The Windsor Station Restaurant was built in 1900 and was a thriving passenger and freight depot until the modernization of highways, automobiles and airplanes, all leading to the railroads’ decline.  Unfortunately, all traffic ceased here in the early 1970’s and it was restored as you see it in 1977.

The Circular Room, which we transformed into a private dining area, was once the stationmaster’s room and ticket office.  The Carolina hard pine ceiling was sandblasted, removing years of paint and grime, exposing its beautiful craftsmanship and natural grain.

But, we are pleased to announce, that in December 1995 the Amtrak Vermonter resumed service at the station, so hold on to your seats if you happen to be dining when the train goes by on the tracks just outside the window!

The Aldighieri family has been proud to serve you since 1978. We continue to invite you to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere while our chef prepares a meal you will long remember.

 Your Hosts,

Dana and Mark Aldighieri
